– treated myself to a mind blowing meal at the worlds 18th best restaurant in paris
– did an amazing tour in turkey, from istanbul down to antalya & met some incredible people from australia and new zealand
– fulfilled my dream of going to gallipoli
– sailed the turquoise sea
– spent five days in berlin drinking as much coffee as I could
– drank too many steins in a beer garden in munich
– travelled to austria for the day ‘because I could’
– followed a dream & made it to kenya!!
– assisted in three medical camps
– went on safari
– tested kenyans for HIV in the surrounding slums of nairobi
– got tested for tuberculosis
– have taught english, french and some songs on my ukulele to the kids at “little ray of hope”
– hated being called ‘mzungu‘, amongst other things
– become incredibly close to my host sisters, in particularly the youngest, vicky
– got hit by a car
– had numerous bouts of what I like to call ‘kenya belly‘; it’s like bali belly but worse because the toilets don’t flush/it’s a hole in the ground
– experienced a terrorist attack
– participated in a two day outreach to slums and IDP camps near naivasha and nakuru
– continuing ongoing fundraising efforts and support to the “little ray of hope” school
– funded a medical camp on october 26 2013
– worked in a clinic in tanzania, working with mums and bubs
– made it to zanzibar for a much needed and craved beachside holiday after 5 and a half months of ‘slumming it’
– managed to make it home to surprise my family for christmas
– had to leave the place that completely stole my heart
– came back to the place I love in 2015
– experienced business class for the first time
